In ERM's Serial-Link integrated package all fixtures are already factory-wired to the Hall and Car stations, which are independently linked to the main Controller via two communication wires and two 24VAC power-supply wires. No shielded cables or twisted pairs are required; any four wires of the main stack and the traveling cable can be used. The only remaining field wiring to the controller consists of the safety, limits, and inspection circuits. Selector and door operator are field-wired to a Car-top unit that is part of the Car serial link
